DEPARTMENT OF Photography and Video

DEPARTMENT OF Photography and Video

Training of audiovisual professionals. The Department provides students with the necessary skills and techniques for photographic and audiovisual creations. Students are introduced to the fundamental principles of digital cameras and video cameras, and to composition and specific post-production techniques. Special attention is paid to students being able to overcome any technical issues – a strong theoretical base will help them best express their artistic creativity.
The different aspects of the world of photography, audiovisuals and cinema are addressed: video clips, documentaries, commercials and fashion films; from post-production to editing, from video production to the application of traditional photographic techniques, reportage, landscape, fashion, industrial and still-life photography, without neglecting aspects of digital design with the Adobe package.
The Department also prepares students for a profession in the film industry by shaping the figure of the contemporary filmmaker and by building awareness as to the many possibilities offered by the world of photography and audiovisuals today: videographer, digital imaging technician, data manager, colourist, as well as more traditional roles in directing, editing, production, photography and sound design.
